Last year, I said I'm going to start celebrating my birthday again in a way that I want to every year, but of course, the universe had other plans. It's like we're living in a dystopian world now. A lot of things are so different than it used to be. Sometimes, I wonder if we're really still in 2020. But this chaos doesn't stop the world from spinning.
Yesterday, I turned 24. And although there's no celebration, it was still good. Like the past few years, my family and friends turned what could have been just another ordinary day into a special one. I already appreciate just the greetings alone, especially if they actually know it's my birthday and didn't find out on social media. Lol! But what made it special is that I got sent gifts as a surprise, because honestly, I secretly love surprises.
My Ate cooked and my Dete sent me a cake. A friend sent me milk tea, a cheesecake one because that's the only cheesecake that delivers in my area. haha!
I received heartwarming greetings from people who are special to me. Some of my friends made me choose what I want and had it delivered.
And then I got this package. Which if I post on Facebook would sure have me bombarded with comments and messages from relatives asking me if it's from my boyfriend. hahaha I just have friends who like being extra and one of them decided to put some of my favorites together and have it delivered to my house.
These are simple things, but with how our world is right now, it already means so much to be remembered. Thank you to everyone who remembered my birthday! I wish for the day when we could finally come together again to happen sooner.
