I Dated a Celebrity

Earlier this year, I was reminded that this happened. Not that I forgot about it, because how could I?? But because it felt like a dream, and after it happened, it felt like a distant memory. Not a lot of people know this ever happened, so here goes.

It happened on this day a few years ago. I remember, one boring day towards the end of January, I received a phone call telling me I would have dinner with this celebrity. I won a raffle, which at that time, I have already forgotten I had tickets for. I was asked not to tell anyone for a week until they announce it. By that time, I wasn't sure if I want to freak out or just ignore it because I was thinking it was a prank my friends are pulling on me. I only told my sister about that phone call.

A week later, it was announced. That's when it felt real. I will have dinner with James Reid in a few days. My 16-year-old self would have died just thinking about it. My sister was super supportive she basically styled me for that night, volunteered to drive me to the venue, and even told me to google him so we could have something to talk about. I knew I don't need that. hahaha!

My best friend was also very supportive, she was volunteering to do my make up. I was told it would be provided, so she did my nails instead. Truth be told, if I wasn't told to dress a little fancy, and if hair and make-up wasn't provided, I probably wouldn't have bothered. My worry was that we will have dinner in a fine-dining restaurant, and I'm not used to that. Which utencils do I use?? I need dining etiquette!! I was very concerned about it that I wanted a crash course for that. hahaha

When the night of the dinner came, I didn't know what to expect. I can't remember exactly everything that happened because it has been a few years now. One of the things I wouldn't forget though, because it was so funny to me, was when James asked if we should eat, if I was hungry. Without any hesitation or thinking twice, I said YES!! I guess wherever I am and whoever I'm with, I'll always be the girl who's always hungry and couldn't deny it.
